Guy Ritchie's mother has dismissed reports that he and Madonna
are divorcing as "total tosh," the Daily Mail reports.
Reports have circulated recently that Madonna, 49, and her filmmaker husband, 40,
are living separate lives and have planned a formal announcement about their split
after Madonna finishes her world tour in November.
Madonna has reportedly met with Fiona Shackleton, the divorce lawyer
who represented Sir Paul McCartney in his split from Heather Mills.
But Lady Amber Leighton called the reports "works of fiction"
and said that "they are no different to most other couples and we all know
that being together can be hard sometimes.
But like other couples they work at keeping their relationship happy and fresh."
She then said she
"spoke to Guy this morning, not about divorce but about a new feature film project
he has got under way.
There’s no conversation about divorce because there is no divorce."
